Product photography — Helion Recon, primary

Three-quarter studio frame on the horizontal. Full light body with mount, head, and tail visible. Dark ground, one hard key light raking the machined flats and anodized finish.

Manufacturing photography — machining

Close, shallow-depth frame of cutting on the machine: tool in the cut, coolant, chips, aluminum. Cool metal tones against a dark shop.

Precision
on Purpose

A bow light is not a flashlight with a bracket on it. Helion lights are designed, machined, and assembled in Texas — so the body geometry, the mount, and the electronics are developed together around the way the light is actually carried, aimed, and used.

We keep production close, quality high, and the focus on what matters: building equipment that earns its place on a bow.

Helion Lights — Made in USA with domestic and imported components
Macro — machined body + threads

01

Machined, not molded

Aluminum bodies cut and threaded in the Helion shop, so the fit between parts is set by the machine work rather than by tolerance stacking on parts bought in.

Macro — head, reflector, LED module

02

Beam built for the shot

Head, reflector, and LED module are developed together and evaluated against hunting distances — not against a spec sheet written for a handheld light.

Macro — driver + internals

03

Electronics with a job

Driver and control behavior are chosen for the way a hunter operates a light in the dark: predictable, quiet to use, and free of modes nobody asked for.

Macro — mounting system

04

Mounted like equipment

The mount is part of the product, not an afterthought — designed to sit on a bow, hold its point of aim, and survive being carried through real country.

Built in the shop

Made on our machines,
by our hands

Helion lights are developed, machined, assembled, and tested in our own shop in Texas. Lathe work, threading, electronics, and final assembly happen here — on the bench, by the people who designed the product.

Shop photography — manual lathe work

Hero shop frame. Operator at the manual lathe, chips cutting, warm work light against a dark shop interior.

Shop — aluminum stock + turned bodies
Shop — threading operation
Shop — electronics and LED module assembly

Bench frame: driver boards, LED modules, hands at work under task lighting.

Shop — finishing and inspection

Full-width band. Anodize or Cerakote finishing, then measurement and inspection of a finished body.

Machined here

Bodies, heads, and threads are cut in the Helion shop rather than ordered as a finished housing.

Assembled here

Electronics, optics, and hardware go together on our bench, one light at a time.

Tested here

Every design change is checked on the bench and then carried into the field before it ships.

Our story

Helion is new.
The experience behind it isn’t.

Before Helion, our founder designed, built, marketed, and sold hunting lights under Bowlite Archery Products — bow lights and crossbow lights, made and shipped from his own shop.

Helion starts from that work: what held up in the field, what customers actually used, and what was worth building differently the second time around.

A Bowlite-era archive of original product photography, shop images, and video is being pulled together for this section.

Lights for
real life

From the stand to the backcountry, Helion is built to perform when it matters. Designs get carried into the dark and changed when the field says they should be.

Field — bow hunting

Bow hunting

The use case the Recon is designed around, and the first place every change gets judged.

Field — hog and predator

Hog & predator

Hard nights, long walks, and equipment that has to keep working when it gets handled roughly.

Field — beam testing at night

Beam testing

Measured beam work at real distances. Results get published when the testing is finished, not before.
